The ivWatch Model 400 is a continuous I.V. monitoring device which alerts caregivers to an early infiltration/extravasation of the patient’s I.V.site.
According to clinical studies, the ivWatch device detected an infiltration/extravasation before a caregiver confirmation 80% of the time*. Caregivers can then check the I.V. site and if necessary, can turn off the infusion and re site the I.V. thus reducing patient harm related to the complications of infiltration/extravasation before they become a serious problem.
